Pioneer Maintenance & Erectors began operations in 1982 as a millwrighting company involved in the assembly, alignment and precision installation of machinery. Over the next 10 years the company expanded its services to include fabrication, machine shop services, rigging and hauling. Originally located on 2 acres in Mt. Laurel, NJ with a 5000 sq. ft. office/shop facility, PME relocated to its current headquarters in Pennsauken, NJ in 1996. The corporate offices, machine shops and warehouses now consist of over 80,000 sq. ft. on more than 11 acres. Start-up PME consisted of a handful of employees doing Millwrighting work primarily in the Philadelphia area with the owner frequently working side by side with the crews in the field. Today PME employs nearly 100 people with a highly computer literate ownership and management staff still maintaining a strong field presence. That field has expanded from the Philadelphia area to include everything east of the Mississippi as well as the Caribbean.
